Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Manual lymphatic drainage works with the body’s lymphatic system, using light, rhythmic strokes to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid. Unlike deep tissue massage, MLD relies on gentle, precise pressure applied in a specific sequence and direction, following the body’s natural drainage pathways. This makes it especially effective for reducing swelling, supporting immune function, and helping the body clear excess fluid after surgery, injury, or as part of ongoing lymphedema management. Because the technique is so gentle, it’s well suited to clients who need therapeutic results without the intensity of a deeper massage.

Clients often notice benefits that go beyond the session itself, both physically and in how they feel day to day:

  • Reduces swelling and supports healthy fluid balance
  • Supports the immune system by encouraging lymph flow
  • Eases discomfort from post-surgical or lymphedema-related swelling
  • Promotes deep relaxation despite the light pressure used
  • Helps flush metabolic waste and reduce feelings of heaviness or fatigue
  • Pairs well with other treatments as part of an ongoing wellness or recovery plan
  • Post-surgical recovery (cosmetic and reconstructive procedures)
  • Clients managing lymphedema
  • Anyone dealing with chronic swelling, fluid retention, or sluggish circulation
  • Wellness-minded clients looking for immune and detox support
  • Post-Surgical Recovery Package — structured sessions designed around your recovery timeline
  • Wellness Maintenance Package — ongoing sessions for ongoing swelling or circulation support
